Flow Meters are basically two types:

•Full Bore Meters- which operate on all the fluid in the pipe or channel

1. Venturi meter
2. Orifice meter
3. Area Meters - Rotameter

•Insertion Meters- which measure the flow rate or fluid velocity at one point only

4. V-Element meter
5. Target Meter
6. Other Meters
