Ladder Saftey Assignment
CM3215 Chemical Engineering Junior Laboratory
If you are assigned to the Ladder Safety Assignment (see the assignment page to know your lab safety assignment), your team assignment is as follows:
Please meet with ALL the ladder safety-assigned students in the class and discuss issues related to ladder safety in our lab and ladder safety in the Unit Operations laboratory (you may interview seniors for this, look though the window into the lab, watch the online video tour and/or use your imaginzation).
As a group, prepare a single page PowerPoint slide addressing the following topics:
1. How often would you estimate did the students in the lab follow the ladder safety rules? Estimate a percentage.
2. What are the barriers to better ladder safety compliance?
3. What are your recommendations for improving ladder safety in the CM3215 lab?
4. How do you estimate that ladder safety issues will impact your Unit Operations Laboratory experience next year/ your future work / working around the house?
Please email the slide as an attached PowerPoint file to me and to the TA by 10am Tuesday of week 14. Please put all team members' names in the email of transmittal but I only need one copy of the email. We will discuss your team slide during our final safety meeting, Wednesday week 14 at 9:05. The email transmitting this PowerPoint file to us should be formal and informative, like the memos of transmittal we have used all semester.
