6-IngredientThai Salad (Miang kham)

1. chopped onions
2. toasted coconut (sweetened or unsweetened)
3. chopped raw ginger
4. chopped lemon (include the rind; remove the seeds)
5. peanuts
6. chopped hot hot chilies
Iceburg lettuce, quartered and separated to use as wrappers
Jasmine tea
1Cup sugar
Make a simple syrup by making 1 cup of very concentrated Jasmine
tea. Boil in a sauce pan and add 1 cup sugar until it
dissolves. Cool to room temperature.
Arrange the six ingredients in six fancy bowls. Make a serving by
taking a lettuce leaf and put each of the six ingredients, finishing
with a drop of the sauce. Put the whole thing in your mouth and
enjoy. The flavors seem like they are too strong for this, but
they blend very nicely.
