Hi Pushpa,
Here is the version of your lemon rice recipe that I have.  Until last year when you showed it to Trisha, I did not have the ura dahl and split yellow pea mixture there.  Where do you add that into the mix?  I guessed it was with peanuts.

best,
Faith

Lemon Rice
Pushpa Murthy
June 6, 1995

1 1/2 C rice
2-3 Tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1/4 C raw peanuts
1 Tablespoon ura dahl and split yellow pea mix
1 medium onion, diced
2 small, hot green chilies
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 teaspoon coconut flakes, unsweetened
cilantro to taste
1 lemon, juiced

Boil rice and allow to cool.  Have all the
ingredients ready since the cooking time for
each is short.  Heat oil in a wide wok.
Add mustard seeds and immediately cover the
wok.  When all the seeds have popped, add
peanuts and dahl and stir well.  When peanuts turn
light brown, add onions and hot chillies.
Continue stirring.  Add turmeric powder,
stir, and turn off heat.  Add coconut, salt,
lemon juice, and cilantro.  Add rice and mix.
Serve warm.
