Safety

I have been active in the development of the Process Safety Course at Michigan Tech, an initiative that predated the current pedagogical emphasis on safety. 

Physical Properties

With Mullins and Rogers, I have worked on physical properties estimation techniques. We have received two long-term projects from the AIChE Design Institute for Physical Properties to help update and maintain the database produced by DIPPR and to develop predictive methods for missing data. This work will impact all chemical engineers who use this widely available database.
