If you have a love for math, physics, and chemistry; a desire to create and build things; and a willingness to work with other people, then chemical engineering may be for you. The Chemical Engineering Department at Michigan Tech has an outstanding track record of educating world class engineers for careers in engineering, dentistry, law, and medicine.

The Chemical Engineering B.S. degree is one of the most challenging and rewarding degree programs available at Michigan Tech. For the 2005-06 school year, the average starting salary for B.S. Chemical Engineers was nearly $53,000 per year in a variety of different industries and locations across the United States.

The Department presently has 16 faculty, 9 staff, 325 undergraduate majors, and 40 graduate students. All required chemical engineering courses are taught by full-time faculty, and every effort is made to ensure that a friendly, educationally stimulating environment is present for all students.
