  • UN1001 - Perspectives (3 credits)
  • UN1002 - World Cultures (4 credits)

  • UN2002 - Institutions (3 credits)

The gen ed core classes are intended to be taken during your first and second years, according to the following schedule:

  • Fall freshman year – UN1001
  • Spring freshman year – UN1002 or UN1003 (see language substitution below)
  • Fall sophomore year – UN2001 or UN2002

Foreign Language Substitution for World Cultures

As an option, you can take two semesters of a foreign language (6 credits) and UN1003 (1 credit) to substitute for UN1002 and 3 credits of distribution course requirements.  To complete this substitution, UN1003 and one language class needs to be taken during spring semester of your freshman year.  If you have difficulty scheduling UN1003 or your language class, please contact your academic advisor.
