Good afternoon Lee and Class,
The ISA standards are briefly described on this page of the Engineering
Mostly these standards are concerned with the naming of various
devices. Since the devices in your lab stations have already been
named, you do not have to do anything to make your P&ID conform to
the standards as long as you use the names on the apparatus.
Remember also that the Equipment Schedules have detailed information
about each piece of equipment:
