1. Select the window whose graphics you wish to capture

1. Position the cursor anywhere inside the window. For example, in Figure 1, the cursor is inside the Paint window

2. Press the combination [ALT]-[Print Screen] simultaneously.

• this will capture the window graphics and store in the clipboard.

2. Next open your program, e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, etc., where you plan to include your captured picture. Under [Edit] menu, choose [Paste] or [Paste Special…].
3. Crop the picture to the size and image you want: Double-click on the image and move the boundaries by click-dragging the place holders.
