                    E. Pavlis Mr. Frank 
                      E. Pavlis was born in Buckley, Michigan just South of Traverse 
                      City in 1916. He was the first of his family to attend college 
                      when he enrolled at Michigan Tech in 1934. Following this 
                      he graduated with an MS degree in Chemical Engineering from 
                      the University of Michigan in 1939. Frank then moved to Detroit 
                      and was the first employee of a new company, Air Products, 
                      Inc. Today Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. is a $6B worldwide 
                      company producing industrial gases and specialty chemicals. 
                      In 1957, he completed the advanced management program at the 
                      Harvard Business School. Frank has held many significant positions 
                      over his 40-year career with Air Products. These positions 
                      began with Chief Engineer, Technical Sales Director, Treasurer, 
                      and on into the Vice President ranks. In his first Vice Presidency 
                      he was responsible for engineering and later finance. His 
                      last position before retiring in 1980 was as Vice President 
                      for international/world trade. Frank was a Director of Air 
                      Products and Chemicals and Air Products Limited for over 20 
                      years. Frank is a member of Tau Beta Pi, the American Chemical 
                      Society, the American Institute of Chemical Engineers and 
                      is a registered Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania. He 
                      is a world traveler and relaxes with his passion for landscape 
                      gardening. He resides in Allentown, Pennsylvania that is the 
                      home location of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Frank is 
                    a member of the Presidents Society and the McNair Society. |
