CO-OP ACADEMIC PLAN

chem engThis schedule is for students starting out in Calc I and who would like to go on co-op during the school year.  It is a 5 year plan.

Co-op Academic Plan (pdf)

All students are encouraged to take a co-op while in school.  Advantages of participating in a co-op include:

  • Gaining engineering work experience that you can add to your resume,
  • Earning a good wage that can help you pay for school,
  • Experiencing different jobs to help you determine what you like and what you don't like,
  • Earning college credit that counts as technical electives,
  • And, possibly have a full-time job offer waiting for you when you graduate.

If you come to MTU with a fair amount of advanced placement or transfer credit, you may be able to fit a co-op into a 4-year schedule.  Contact your advisor for assistance with your specific situation.
